Amex Launches New Airfare Program

American Express just launched Platinum Member Airfares™ exclusively for Platinum and Centurion cardholders.

This airfare program is meant to offer discounts for both international and domestic premium bookings through AmexTravel.com.

Over 30 airlines are participating including Delta, Virgin Atlantic, and Emirates.

Some savings will also be available on select economy tickets, with limited participating airlines on domestic flights.

Amex mentioned:

  • On average, Platinum Card Members save $100 per ticket when they book select premium seats with participating airlines on international flights through Platinum Member Airfares™

You can find this on AmexTravel.com when filtering results from a flight search:

Another option is to click “Book,” then “Platinum Member Airfares” in the travel portal.

Amex allows savings for up to 8 passengers per booking, as long the eligible card member is traveling on the booking.

American Express Platinum Card® cardholders will still be able to earn 5X points on flights (up to $500,000 per calendar year) and airline program points when linking a frequent flyer account.
