Amex Platinum (Rumor) - $600 Hotel Credit

The $600 Hotel Credit on the American Express Platinum Card® might be getting refreshed on January 1.

Credible rumors over on US Credit Card Guide point to a bank test site mentioning:

  • Effective January 1, 2027, Fine Hotels + Resorts® bookings will require a minimum two-night stay to be eligible for the $600 Lodging Credit.

The current $600 Hotel Credit is split into two semiannual $300 credits for use at the Fine Hotels & Resorts® (FHR) or the Hotel Collection through American Express Travel®.

Right now, FHR stays only require a one-night stay to trigger the hotel credit, while Hotel Collection stays require a two-night stay.

A rebranded $600 Lodging credit is also rumored to include the addition of Airbnb Luxe stays.

Plus, a $250 Airbnb Experiences credit may be announced as well.

Here’s the kicker though…

This new $250 Airbnb credit will allegedly require an Airbnb Luxe stay to unlock.

We researched a random weekend in January and found that most prices for Airbnb Luxe stays are a minimum of $1,000 - $1,500 (two nights total).

💳 Wallet Tip: Use a tool like MaxFHR.com to find the best use for the $300 Hotel Credit before 2026 ends. Then, book by the end of December to trigger the credit since your stay can take place throughout 2027.
