Amex Resy Credit is Getting Better

The Resy credits on both the American Express Platinum Card® and American Express® Gold Card are getting more valuable in the coming weeks.

That's because Resy is adding more than 25,000 venues from Tock (another reservation platform), including over 1,200 wineries - and many of these are now visible on Resy as of last week!

Right now, you'll still see a "Book on Tock" badge while browsing on Resy - but you should be able to book Tock reservations directly through Resy very soon.

However, don't try to use the Resy credits from your Amex cards on these just yet because those credits won't work until September 15.

But even after September 15, we still don't know how many of these newly added Tock venues will be eligible for the Resy credit right away.

Luckily, Resy and American Express are making things pretty clear by showing a "Qualifies for Resy Credit" badge on restaurants and venues that are currently eligible.

So moving forward, just make sure to always check for that badge to get up to $100 in statement credits every quarter with Resy on the American Express Platinum Card®...

And up to $50 in statement credits from January through June and $50 from July through December on the American Express® Gold Card.

One thing to note as well here is that the $100 Resy credit for Q3 on the Amex Platinum expires after September 30 - so there's not much time to use this quarter's credit on new Tock venues starting on September 15.

Overall though, this is great news for Amex cardholders because it's always nice to see when cards give customers MORE value instead of devaluing benefits.
