Bank of America Transfer Partners?
Alaska Airlines' CFO just hinted at something that could be MAJOR…
During a conference last week, Shane Tackett was quoted saying “we would love ultimately for the proprietary cards (Atmos credit cards) that our bank partner (Bank of America) provides to be able to convert to points and redeem.”
Bank of America is currently focused on cash back credit cards and does not have any airline or hotel transfer partners at the moment.
But potentially adding Alaska as a transfer partner is huge news because Atmos Points are arguably the top airline currency in the points and miles space.
That’s because they give consistently high CPP values - and because they're hard to earn (Atmos Points are typically earned through co-branded Bank of America credit cards or by transferring Bilt Points).
We currently have 7 major flexible points currencies:
Chase UR Points
Amex MR Points
Capital One Miles
Citi TY Points
Bilt Points
Wells Fargo Points
Rove Miles
But adding an 8th flexible points currency is something we can absolutely get behind!
When could this happen?
What other airlines and hotels could be included as Bank of America transfer partners?
Only time will tell.
The next conference for Alaska Airlines will be taking place in September, so people will be patiently waiting all summer for more information.
