Bilt Adds Amtrak Rewards

Bilt just added Amtrak Rewards as a new transfer partner - the first points partnership with Amtrak since their Chase partnership ended in 2015.

​Amtrak is the passenger railroad system that transports people by train to over 500 destinations throughout 46 US States, Washington DC, and a few locations in Canada.

​Amtrak points are worth about 2.60 CPP on average, according to some research we did and here’s a quick example to prove that…

​A train from Philly to New York City a few days before Thanksgiving costs 975 points with Amtrak:

​The cost of the exact train above is $26 for a “value” fare.

​But here’s the kicker - Bilt transfers to Amtrak at a 2:1 ratio, so you would need to transfer 2,000 Bilt Points to get 1,000 Amtrak points to redeem this train ride example.

​That basically cuts our 2.60 CPP value in half:

​$26 / 2,000 points = 1.30 CPP
