Bilt Rent Day - September 2026

With September beginning on Tuesday of next week, that means Bilt will be running another Rent Day promotion!

Here's all you need to know.

First of all, there is a pretty good transfer bonus to Virgin Red or Virgin Atlantic that will be active on September 1 only.

Like always, this transfer bonus will be based on your Bilt Status:

  • Blue: 25% Bonus

  • Silver: 35% Bonus

  • Gold: 45% Bonus

  • Platinum: 75% Bonus

Bilt Members can also choose to redeem $200 of Bilt Cash to "upgrade" to the next transfer bonus tier above their current status...

So if you have Gold Status like I do (Daniel here) from my Bilt Palladium Card sign up bonus, then you could redeem $200 of Bilt Cash to go from the 45% Gold transfer bonus to the 75% Platinum transfer bonus.

Platinum Status Bilt Members can also choose to upgrade to a 100% transfer bonus by redeeming $200 of Bilt Cash.

You can transfer and receive a bonus on up to 150,000 Bilt Points transferred to Virgin Red or Virgin Atlantic - but what's the difference between these two Virgin programs?

Virgin Red covers redemptions for cruises, hotels, and experiences - while Virgin Atlantic Flying Club covers seats on Virgin and partner flights.

You can move Virgin Points between these two programs once they're there - but Bilt gives you the option to transfer directly to both Virgin programs as well.

There's tons of ways to use Virgin Points - but we like to redeem them for Virgin and Virgin partner award flights.

Taxes and fees have become pretty high, which is the one downside to Virgin these days - but you can redeem for Virgin flights with Saver rates as low as 6,000 points in economy (plus taxes and fees).

That's still a pretty insane deal, especially for families looking to stretch their budget using Bilt Points.

For example, here's flight from New York (JFK) to London (LHR) in October for 6,000 points in economy + $166 in taxes and fees per person.

If you were trying to get a family of 4 to London, that would require just 24,000 Virgin Atlantic Points in total and $664 of cash in total.

A 45% Bilt transfer bonus with Bilt Gold status would only require 17,000 Bilt Points to be transferred - and the cash rate for 4 economy tickets would otherwise cost $1,578.

($1,578 - $664) / 17,000 Bilt Points = 5.38 CPP

That's a steal and a great way to use very few Bilt Points for very high value!

But Bilt is also offering another targeted bonus this Rent Day...

According to Bilt, targeted Bilt Cardholders can get more value when they redeem their Bilt Points for a statement credit on Rent Day.

  • Bilt Palladium Card: 100% more value

  • Bilt Obsidian Card: 50% more value

  • Bilt Blue Card: 25% more value

Redeeming for a statement credit normally only gets you 0.55 CPP in value which is WAY too low, so this could be an okay option for Palladium cardholders if a 100% bonus elevates this CPP value.

But to us, we'd say that Bilt Points are just too valuable for travel - so we recommend passing on the statement credit bonus if you're targeted for this.

Bilt Rent Day is also amazing for it's Double Points benefit on all Bilt Cards on 9/1:

  • Blue Cardholders: 2X points on everyday spending (regularly 1X points), up to 1,000 bonus points

  • Obsidian Cardholders: 6X points on their selected category of dining or groceries (regularly 3X), 4X points on travel (regularly 2X), and 2X on other everyday purchases (regularly 1X), up to 1,000 bonus points

  • Palladium Cardholders: 4X points on everyday spending (regularly 2X points), up to 1,000 bonus points

There's a number of other things going on for Rent Day as well like Bilt Neighborhood Comedy Experiences, Bilt Neighborhood Dining Experiences, Bilt Neighborhood Fitness Experiences, and more.

So go check out your Bilt account if you want to see the full Rent Day details for September 1.
