Discover it Rotating Categories - Q4 2026

The Discover it® Cash Back card's Q4 rotating categories are announced! 🎉

​Earn 5% cash back on up to $1,500 of spending during the months of October, November, and December on:​

• Restaurants

• Entertainment

• Utilities

​You can receive up to $75 of cash back if you max out that $1,500 of Q4 5% spending on qualifying purchases.

​Most restaurants and fast-food locations will qualify, with a few exceptions like some bakeries or restaurants located inside of another business (think hotels or retail stores).

​The list of entertainment purchases includes sports games, concerts, movie theaters, amusement parks, aquariums, and more.

​Golf courses, streaming subscriptions, and travel or hotel resort packages do not earn the 5% back.

​And then for utilities we have electric, gas, water, internet, cable, and satellite TV all included here.

​Payments need to be directly made with each utility as purchases at physical retail stores or through third parties like a landlord or property management company don’t qualify.

​Remember to login and activate your categories!

​Many Discover it® cardholders are now able to activate these 5% categories through their Capital One account if your card has already been moved over there.
