80% Wyndham Points Sale

New York City hotels are flat out…expensive?

Nic here - I am headed to NYC with my mom for a Bon Jovi concert soon (hey mom )

If you want to be in a decent area and close to the city’s attractions, it’s gonna run $300-$400 at a minimum...

Even during a weekday.

Hey Nic, we’re not in Kansas anymore!

Sincerely, Daniel.

BUT...

Insert an 80% Wyndham points sale and we can nearly cut that cost in half.

Say you wanted to stay a Friday night close to Midtown and 5th Avenue:

$325 is the advertised price in the screenshot above - but after taxes and fees, the room will cost you $375.

However, the same property is bookable for just 30,000 points:

Technically, you could transfer from a flexible point currency and get about 1.25 CPP...

But the better deal is buying points with an 80% sale because you could buy those same 30,000 points for only $221:

Purchase points for $221 and redeem the same hotel stay versus paying $375 out of pocket.

That's savings of $154 by using this strategy - a 41% discount!

$375 (original price) - $221 (buying points) = $154 saved

$154 / $375 = 41% discount

Airlines and hotels offer point sales like this all the time.

The airlines are more stingy with their sales, so hotel programs like Hilton, Wyndham, and IHG are often the best value.

First, check the cash price versus the point price.

Then, see what you can buy those same points for.

S/O to fellow points and miles creator Nurse Michael who does a really nice job compiling all of these point sales in his weekly newsletter, which saves a ton of time:

Keep us updated if you end up taking advantage!
