Is The Venture X Still Worth It In 2026?

The Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card has been one of the most popular cards out there since it launched back in 2021.

But honestly, while the credit card game has changed a lot over the past 5 years - the Venture X has remained mostly the same.

So here’s what you need to know about this credit card, as well as our take on whether it’s still worth it.

It’s top features include:

  • A $300 annual credit for bookings through Capital One Travel

  • 10,000 bonus miles (equal to $100 towards travel) every year, starting on your first anniversary

  • Earn unlimited 10X miles on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel

  • Earn unlimited 5X miles on flights and vacation rentals booked through Capital One Travel

  • Earn unlimited 2X miles on all other purchases

  • Enjoy access to 1,300+ lounges worldwide, including Capital One Lounge and Landing locations and participating Priority Pass™ lounges, after enrollment

  • Receive up to a $120 credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck®

There’s also a great offer on this card that you can learn more about here.

We think it’s safe to say that in a world of complicated credit card benefits and skyrocketing annual fees - the Capital One Venture X really is a breath of fresh air.

You can also redeem miles to get cash back, reimburse yourself for recent travel purchases, or transfer miles to 20+ different loyalty partners (our personal favorite).

We like the Venture X because it makes a great catch-all card with its 2X multiplier - and its $395 annual fee is very easy to justify with the $300 travel credit and 10,000 mile anniversary bonus.

The Capital One Lounges that you can access with this card are great as well - even though we are disappointed that the one change that Capital One has made to this card is that guest lounge access is no longer free.

Still though, if you often fly out of airports with these Capital One Lounges, then we think this card is a must-have.

If you’re looking for a the simplest premium travel credit card that you’ll actually use for everyday spending, the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card should definitely still be a card to consider in 2026!
