Bilt Loses 1:1 Hyatt Transfers

Yes, it's sadly true...

Starting on January 1, Bilt transfers to Hyatt will now be reduced to a 4:3 ratio.

This includes all 3 Bilt Cards: the Blue Card, the Obsidian Card, and even the Palladium Card.

These Bilt Cards will join the Chase Sapphire Preferred® with 4:3 Hyatt transfer ratios - while the Chase Sapphire Reserve® will continue being the only personal credit card that still allows 1:1 Hyatt transfers (for now).

Thankfully, at least we're getting a three months heads up before Bilt is officially making these changes.

We rarely move points to programs without a specific redemption planned - but this may be one of those exceptions where we'd encourage speculative transfers from Bilt to Hyatt before January 1.

We know that Bilt will get likely get more negative attention for this...

But with Chase already announcing 4:3 Hyatt transfers for the Sapphire Preferred months ago (now live as of October 1) - it's pretty clear that these changes are actually coming from Hyatt themselves.

Definitely disappointing to see this, but I guess Hyatt finally realized that point transfers from their credit card partners were a bit too good
