Discover Cards Now Merging

Some Discover credit card accounts were transferred to Capital One’s website and app a few days ago on July 27.

​Daniel here - I had my Discover It card transferred to my Capital One app and it went smoothly.

​All of my benefits, earning multipliers and card details stayed the same.

​I am EVEN seeing a 5% cash back offer for hotels, rental cars, and activities booked through Capital One Travel - and up to 15% cash back for select Capital One offers.

​The massive $35 billion merger between the two companies is starting to feel more official.

​Not every Discover cardholder is being moved at this time as transitions will be ongoing through 2027 - so be on the lookout for communication or check your Discover account for more information if you’re still waiting to transition accounts.

​Transferring Discover cash back for Capital One miles is still not possible at this time and the “Combine rewards” option seen below is only available between Capital One accounts.
