Resy Credit - Updates To Terms
We have an update to the Resy credit on both the American Express Platinum Card® and the American Express® Gold Card.
According to new benefit terms:
Effective August 1, 2026, U.S. restaurants and other food and beverage establishments (e.g., wineries, cafes) must be indicated as eligible for the Resy Credit on the Resy website or the Resy app at the time of purchase to qualify for the benefit.
Restaurants will now be indicated as eligible on their booking page on the Resy website or the Resy app - so here’s an example of what that looks like:
According to the new terms, restaurants are also subject to change at any time.
Affected locations likely won’t be known until after August 1.
We recommend doing a quick check on the Resy restaurant website page or inside the Resy app to confirm credit eligibility later this summer.
While this does seem like bad news, we don't think that very many current Resy restaurants will be affected.
This change may just help to clarify which Resy restaurants actually accept Amex (apparently, some don't) - and it could also help when Resy adds more restaurants as it brings Tock venues onto Resy later this year.
