Bilt Rewards is going to look a bit different very soon….
The popular rewards ecosystem is modifying how cardholders earn, redeem, and get rewarded.
The Major Update
If you're an existing Bilt cardholder, then starting on your card anniversary, you will be moved to the "Housing-Only Rewards" option that earns up to 1.25X points on rent and mortgage payments.
This option earns Bilt Points based on your housing payment and a tiered spending amount.
For example, a $2,000 housing payment each month with the following spending would earn:
$1,000 everyday spending = 1,500 Bilt Points
$1,500 everyday spending = 2,000 Bilt Points
$2,000+ everyday spending = 2,500 Bilt Points

Earning 4% Bilt Cash on everyday spending with the "Flexible Bilt Cash" option is going away for new cardholders in 2027.
BUT...
Existing cardholders who open a Bilt Card before January 1, 2027 will still have this option to earn 4% Bilt Cash if they want to.
Cardholders must choose to opt into keeping the 4% Bilt Cash Earnings before their card anniversary date - but just note, you won’t have the ability to switch back and forth between the Flexible Bilt Cash and Housing-Only Rewards after that.
For those who choose to be earning with the Housing-Only mode:
Palladium cardholders will now earn $600 of Bilt Cash every year on your account anniversary, instead of the $200 of Bilt Cash and the $400 hotel credit.
Obsidian cardholders will now earn $100 of Bilt Cash instead of the $100 hotel credit.
Bilt Cash can be redeemed for the Points Accelerator, hotel stays, or any other redemption option.
Points multipliers on all Bilt cards remain the same.
Other Changes
Another big change that we love to see...
Bilt Cash now expires 12 months after it's earned - so no more worrying about Bilt Cash expiring at the end of the year!
This change is effective immediately inside of the Bilt app.
Targeted product upgrades are also now available - check card settings in the Bilt app to determine eligibility.
Bilt Daily Rewards is also going to be another new thing that is launching on January 15, 2027.
Every on-time monthly housing payment earns a Daily Reward. You can also earn a Daily Reward through a qualifying partner for things like a meal, class, or ride.
Small prizes include Bilt Points and Bilt Cash while larger prizes could build for the chance to win:
$1,000,000 toward the purchase of a home
10,000,000 Bilt Points
Free rent or mortgage for a year
Free Lyft rides for a year
A dream getaway
Our Thoughts
We believe the Housing-Only earning structure is simpler, but not as powerful as the 4% Flexible Bilt Cash earning structure.
We recommend opting into staying with Flexible Bilt Cash if you're an existing cardholder - or getting a Bilt Card and choosing Flexible Bilt Cash before 2027 begins to avoid being locked into Housing-Only Rewards.
