Chase Airport Lounge Changes
Airport lounge access is changing again…
Priority Pass and LoungeKey members will no longer have access to the network of Chase airport lounges or receive discounted visits starting on August 15.
Before, you could hold a Priority Pass membership from another card like this one or this one and use one complimentary visit to get into a Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club location - even if you didn’t hold an eligible Chase credit card.
Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Dallas, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and San Diego are all cities with these lounges - and more are on the way soon.
Now, access will be restricted to those holding one of these cards:
Chase Sapphire Reserve®
Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business℠
J.P. Morgan Reserve Card
Ritz-Carlton Credit Card
Unfortunate to see another benefit go away, but it was a necessary measure to protect the overcrowding issue that many lounges experience.
BUT the bright side here is that Chase's friendly lounge policy of two free guests remains for eligible cards.
AND passengers with a connecting flight can now access the Chase lounge network up to 5 hours between flights - an increase from the previous 3 hour limit.
This matches Amex’s recent airport lounge changes related to flight layovers.
