Discover it Categories - Q3 2026

The Discover it® Cash Back card just announced new 5% rotating categories for Q3 in July through September later this year.

​Those categories will be:​

• Gas Stations

• Transportation

• Drug Stores

This will be the first time that we'll see purchases made through airlines included in Discover’s quarterly categories (through the Transportation category for Q3).

​Other purchases that qualify for Transportation will include local commuter passenger transport (such as bus, rail and ferry services).

​The Gas Stations category will also include EV charging stations.

​Be sure to activate the categories in your Discover account - and remember that 5% earnings are capped for the first $1,500 of purchases each quarter.

​A salute to the Discover leadership team for adding categories that are extremely relevant to busy travel plans this summer and rising transportation costs. 🤝
