Hyatt Award Availability Changes
The Hyatt Devaluation Doomsday turned out to be not too bad for now...
And today, we even have a bright spot for Hyatt loyalists!
Members with higher elite status (Explorist and Globalist), as well as those holding a Hyatt credit card, will have an extra month of access to book award stays starting on June 30, 2026.
Bookings are normally made up to 12 months out, so this change extends to 13 months for those who qualify.
We typically don’t recommend chasing loyalty status with airline and hotel programs, unless you're truly a road warrior who can do so naturally.
So for many of you reading this, that might mean the quickest path to achieve this additional award availability is through the co-branded World of Hyatt Credit Card.
It's a great "keeper card" due to it's annual category 1-4 free night award that easily helps to offset the $95 annual fee.
Hotel and airline programs restricting access to availability is not our favorite - but this is a growing trend in the travel space, so snagging that Hyatt card may be worth it to redeem for top properties.
