"Moneymaxxing" Is Taking Over
Looksmaxxing started the entire “maxxing” trend, where people try to improve parts of their life.
But "maxxing" has now spread to every niche and hobby - including personal finance.
Many people online have recently started to talk about "Moneymaxxing" to start spending less and saving more...
So here's 4 things that we think anyone can do if they want to be Moneymaxxing to the fullest:
1️⃣ Redeem Credit Card Points
Nearly 25% of credit card rewards go unused, according to a 2024 Bankrate survey.
We are fortunate to travel several times a year - but that's because many trips are subsidized with points to save us a ton of money.
We love helping people turn dream trips into reality through this newsletter...
But even small trips or a quick flight booked with points can help to reduce the overall cost of travel for you.
So use those points people! Don't let them lose value as they collect dust inside of your credit card accounts.
2️⃣ Airport Free Agent
Flexibility with airports often yields the best deals when the Wiser Wallet team is traveling.
Being in the Northeast gives us access to 5-10 different airports for deals to places like Europe, South America, and other parts of the US.
If you’re on the west coast, there are more options to places like Hawaii, Asia, and Australia.
Driving or taking a positioning flight to other airports opens up the door to more possibilities.
3️⃣ Monthly Budget
Both Nic and Daniel here have been tracking our income and expenses for 5+ years now.
Seeing exactly how much "profit" we have at the end of every month tells us whether we need to be increasing our income, decreasing our spending, or some mix of both.
Most people have no idea how much they are spending each month - so don't be like most people!
Start a budget and help yourself get ahead financially.
4️⃣ Prioritize Experiences
We prefer to spend money on experiences like travel, sporting events, and restaurants versus material things like fancy cars, designer clothes, or even gambling / sports betting.
Material things will break or lose value - but travel and experiences will produce memories that last a lifetime!
