Chase Confirms DoorDash Credit Update

We now have confirmation that Chase is updating the DoorDash credit on the Chase Sapphire Reserve®.

Thrifty Traveler reached out to Chase and received this message back:

  • We can confirm that beginning October 1, 2026, Chase Sapphire Reserve will increase the value and flexibility of its existing DoorDash benefits. The current $5 monthly DoorDash restaurant credit will increase to a $15 monthly credit that can be used on all eligible DoorDash orders. The existing two $10 monthly non-restaurant promos will remain the same. Sapphire Reserve DashPass members will now receive up to $35 in DoorDash value each month.

The rumors turned out true, so two things to keep in mind with the refreshed credit…

Number one, using delivery app credits isn't a full discount because some spending is still required for taxes, fees, and a tip - here’s a quick example from our newsletter last week.

Number two, DoorDash has a $20 minimum pickup at many locations in their app.

But overall, we need to give “credit” (see what we did there 😉) to Chase on upgrading a benefit and adding value to the Chase Sapphire Reserve® after hearing customer feedback!
